Kayleigh celebrates turning 1 with cake, pigtails, a rainbow and a bath.

Cake, pigtails, a rainbow and a bath – what a way to celebrate turning 1!

So many gorgeous memories to celebrate this time in Kayleigh’s life, including her cheeks, her hair, little pigtails, walking, giggles, surprised faces, cake smashing and bath time.

Michael the cake smash boy

Michael the cake smash boy

I love the colours chosen for Michael’s Cake Smash session and he had a pretty good time touching, playing with and eating his cake. I like to keep my Cake Smash sessions nie and simple so the focus is on your little one and not on all the fancy backgrounds and props.

To all those people with birthday’s during this COVID-19 period – don’t forget to celebrate with your family and a cake.

“Let them eat cake.” — Marie Antoinette

Jaxson was all smiles when he came into the studio and saw his cake ready for his Cake Smash Photography session to celebrate his 1st birthday. By all accounts I think he quite enjoyed the cake and having it all to himself. He did save some to take home for Dad.

We also captured so many sweet images before and after the Cake Smashing part.

Toby and the cake

Toby and the cake

While on holidays recently I visited my sister and her family. My nephew Toby had recently turned one so we hired a local studio (thanks Jane Hart Photography Bundaberg) and I made a pretty average looking cake and away we went. Toby had a blast – my sister got some exercise putting him back with the cake time and time again and now the family has these images to look back on and remember this time in Toby’s life. Missing you little guy!

I don’t think this little guy could get any cuter! I love capturing some photographs before the cake comes out so that my clients have more variety of images to choose from. It only took a few seconds for Semisi to get stuck into his cake. I don’t think he could believe his eyes – a cake all to himself! Thanks for all the laughs during the session too Semisi.
