Documenting family at home

Documenting family at home

As always it was a lot of fun to catch up this family again and photograph them in their new home. So many great gardens and textured backgrounds to photograph in front of. Lots of cheekiness, smiles and siblings cuddles to capture this moment in time.

If you would like to capture some precious moments of your family at home please get in touch.

Narrabeen Markets Competition Winner

Narrabeen Markets Competition Winner

This family was the winner of the Hen Photography Narrabeen Markets competition last year. They received a free outdoor family photography session with Hen Photography and a free 24×16 inch framed print. The family doesn’t live close to the beach so the boys had a absolute ball running along the sand and playing on the edge of the water.

It was lovely to hear from this family recently and they told me how they love looking at their framed print on the wall – I’m sure with all forced time at home at the moment they are getting to see it lots more times per day. I hope it puts a smile on their faces every time they look at it.

Citizenship Day

Citizenship Day

It was Citizenship Day for this family and they documented it with a gorgeous family photography session. The last time I had seen them Gabriel was just a wee newborn. You can click here to see his newborn session. The family choose to display their images is an Australian made handcrafted album that they can have on display. I can’t imagine the times that this album will be looked at over the next few decades. I can’t wait to meet more families and tell their stories after our period of forced isolation is over.

Summer sunshine family session

Summer sunshine family session

It really was a wonderful summer’s afternoon spent photographing this family back in early January. Back then we were just worried if it was going to rain during the photography session and if the smoke haze over Sydney would affect the photographs – COVID-19 wasn’t even on our radar. These photographs were going to be used at the couple’s wedding which was meant to be last weekend but has now had to be postponed. The family is happy for me to share them now and everytime I look at their photographs I get a big smile on my face knowing their will have these beautiful memories to keep forever. I’m sure when this damn virus racks off they will be able to have a wonderful wedding with their friends and family and celebrate their love and family. The first time I met this family their son was a little newborn and my business had just started. As always I really love seeing my clients time and again and watching their family and love for each other grow. Hold your family tight and enjoy an Easter weekend at home – we can look forward to re discovering our favourite outdoor places and skipping along beaches.

Tahlia and her family

Tahlia and her family

Baby Tahlia at 7 months old and her family can into the studio to update their family photographs. I met big brother when he was a baby so it was extra special to see the family again and to meet their newest family member.

Family fun, love and connection

Family fun, love and connection

With all the crazy weather these last few months I have had to reschedule quite a few sessions including this one. It was just so windy and unseasonably cold on the original date that I don’t think anyone would of been smiling!

The rescheduled day ended up being just perfect (once the smoke form the bushfires lifted) and we captured some gorgeous family love, fun and connection for this family to treasure and look back on in the years to come. The grandparents were lucky enough to receive some of these lovely prints for Christmas and the family has added some to their expanding family photo wall.  Thanks for trusting me to photograph your family again and capture these moments for you all.
